Ripley 4 point major under Judge Theresa Hundt
Ripley was bred by Dick and Barbara Rupert, Oakhurst and is owned by Dr. Jean Spengel. Jean had ridgebacks previously but never showed them. She wasn't my veterinarian at the time but was the vet of the Warfields, WGASA. They told her that I would show Ripley for her. I agreed to show him and his 1st show experience was at the San Diego RR Club match. He won Best Male Head and got a huge rosette. Jean was hooked after that. Ripley won his 1st major at one of the satelite shows afte the Orange Coast RR Club specialty. I didn't put the finishing major on Ripley because I couldn't take the day off school. He won a 5 point major at the Inland Empire Hound show to start off the Palm Springs circuit under Breeder Judge Sandra Fikes shown by John Mayhall. The next day I showed him as a special and he received an Award of Merit. Ripley was bred once to Bell producing the "liver sandwich."
